A 72 hour performance happening. A social choreographic art project that explore possible connections between different social fantasies/ imaginations, and the urgency to create new ones for future

Nodes on stars, fish and the social marked the opening of the season at Black Box Theatre 2017.

The choreographic structure of the project is inspired by the blockchain structure, starfish distributed network. A decentralized network. Nodes on stars, fish and the social- is a distributed network of materials. Each one i.e performance, sculpture, reading, dinner, sleeping or other are marked as nodes in the choreographic map- also visually represented in the space. Black Box theatre as a site, with its history, geographic location (neighbouring institutions, individuals etc were invited into the work) and the theatres architecture (the project took place in the whole building) functioned as starting points for articulating questions on exciting social imaginations. May a theatre, a space for projected fantasies, be able to host and perhaps create alternative social fantasies of the future? and what might those be? The project aims to situate itself between excisting hierarchies in society and whitin the arts- aiming to blend the borders between who is creating the work and who is the audience, at all times.
